Day 10 - Seville - Torre de Oro

Hot... The one word that comes to mind when I think of our time in Seville.  I had just spend 5 months in Nashville with temperatures approaching unbearable highs but to me Seville felt so much worse than anything we had here all summer!  That complaint aside, we saw a ton in our short two days in town.

Our plan was to walk across this neat bridge somewhat near our hotel to pick up the red double decker bus tour.  Unfortunately we had a hard time figuring out from the somewhat cartoonish map we had, where the stops really were.  After walking all over kingdom come, we got on the bus in route towards the old part of the city.

We crossed back over the bridge I referenced earlier.

And the next bridge over was even cooler!

We arrived at the Torre de Oro, which was constructed in the early 1200's, was used as a prison, a watchtower and as a "vault" to store the precious metals from India.

The views from the top were great looking towards the Cathedral and down the river.
