Before Christmas a couple of our Indian friends convinced us to go out for a night of Bhangra dancing.  It ending up being a mix of pop and Indiana pop and we had a lot of fun!

Yes it was December but it was warm out!  With most of the ladies of the evening, Smitha, Mollie and Carmen.

Ralston's Drafthouse

Before we left we tried a new restaurant/bar called Ralston's drafthouse. 

Darren was allowing pictures this evening.  One Jay got of us.

We also went after we got home from the wedding to try the food and I was pretty impressed.  Very upscale bar food.  The pumpkin ravioli were awesome! They also have a great beer list with about 30 on tap and 50 in bottles.

Pre-Wedding Festivities

The night before Bryan and Carolyn got married we took them out for a few drinks before they became husband and wife.  It was a fun weekend and one of the very few weddings I got to attend that was actually in Nashville!

Darren had a couple bad work month's of work and I had just finished up busy season.  We were ready for a fun night on the town.

Later that night we went to Sensu which is a sushi restaurant that turns into a night club at night.

Great night with friends.  Much needed night on the town!

Goodbye Nashville - Going Away Party 1

Sarah was nice enough to throw me a huge going away party before I left Nashville.  Most of my best friends and some of my family were able to make the dinner.  It was a tasty dinner at Ted's Montana Grill.

Goodbye Nashville - The Stage

My last weekend in Nashville we took one last jaunt downtown to the Stage. 

Brice was playing that night with Todd Sansom and we had a great time as always.

So glad we could have one last night out together!

Prewedding Festivities

The night before Bryan and Carolyn tied the knot, we all went out for a prewedding libations.  Our first stop was Robert's Western Room.

Our second stop that evening was the Stage. Sadly Brice wasn't playing but Todd Sansom and his band were as good as always!

After the Stage, Carolyn decided she needed some beauty rest before the big day so Darren and I met up with Adam for a couple drinks at Legends before calling it a night.

 

The last of the scrapbook pages I cranked out was for a night out before we went to Europe.

Up next when time and motivation coincide, Europe!!!

Bryan & Carolyn Are Getting Married!

But first they have to find a place to have a wedding! 

Bryan and Carolyn came up for Labor Day weekend to look for wedding venues and Darren and I got to spend the evening with them.  First we started off with dinner at an East Nashville place called Batter'd and Fried.  It was tasty but a little too heavy for a regular meal! I have the fish basket with clam strips and shrimp.  LOVE some clam strips! :)

After dinner we rotated through Nashville's typical haunts giving Caryoln a lay of the land.  We had drinks at Rippy's, the Stage, Tootsies and Legends.  What a fun night!

We had a big group for once.  Adam and Kristie joined us.

And even my cousin Heather and her boyfriend Marc stopped by for a couple minutes just to say hi!

We should really have nights like this more often!

Pretty much sums up another night at the Stage!  One place I will truly miss when I leave this town!

JENGA

We had a very low key weekend with Elizabeth and Steve.  Steve had to work some but we had time for fun in between!  On Saturday night we went out to Bar Acadia.  They are the neatest theme having old school video games, skeeball and even an jumbo sized game of JENGA.  I did not have the best luck but we had a ton of fun playing!

We then tried our hand at skeeball.  Here is Darren rocking the skeeball.  He ended up a final score of 300,000, just above Eliz's 270,000!

And Steve tried to win at Frogger but we were not nearly as good at is as we used to be back on the TRS-80 Model 1!!

A Night with Pat O

Darren had never been to New Orleans so we felt the immediate need to rectify that situation!  It was a beautiful spring weekend int he Big Easy.  After my delayed flight we made (almost) a beeline for the heart of the French Quarter, Pat O'Brian's.  Darren had the customary Hurricane.  Since I think they taste like cough syrup, I had a Cyclone and a Rainbow! ;)
