Christmas at the Zoo

My my parents were in Indy for Thanksgiving, we went to opening weekend of Christmas at the Zoo.  It couldn't have been a nicer night.  Light jackets were all we needed!

Christmas lights are hard to photograph.  Sorry they are blurry!

It was a nice fun family night!

Not all of the animals were available but quite a few were. It was a fun night and the lights were really pretty!

And they even had reindeer.  Rudolph!!

Christmas in Indianapolis.  They don't have a tree, but the decorate monument circle like a tree! :)

A Turkey Tale

This year we hosted our first holiday.  Pretty memorable for a lot of reasons. Having our family in our home, our thanksgiving being engaged but probably (even sadly) it will be the most memorable because it was the first time we attempted a fried turkey.

Here Michelle eyes the yumminess to be!

Darren pulls dinner out of the fryer.

Me and my sister-in-law-to-be!

The same day as the red dress run was Vanderbilt's homecoming game! The 101st Airbone parachuted the American flag and the game ball in. How neat!

Glad I made it back to Nashville to see Vanderbilt play.  One of the things I miss doing so much.  But it was a great day spending time with these ladies! Miss these girls a lot!

Red Dress Run

The post that Jon was dreading.  But when I was in Nashville, we went to a fundraiser for the rugby group he's a part of.  The deal was that you had to all wear red dresses, men and women.  Well it happened to be an amazingly beautiful day, hot even and dresses were the perfect clothing, except when its a 10lb beaded prom dress! ;)

I tried to inconspicuously take a few pictures of the crowd.

It was supposed to be a "run" with a pit stop at multiple bars along the way.  Some people took the "running" portion far more serious than we did!

What a fun day!  Glad I went!
