2013 Year in Review

Wow 2013 you sure went by quickly!! It seems like each year flies by faster and faster than the previous year. I'll try to let the photos do the talking. :)

January

With busy season I honestly don't remember what happened or didn't happen in January.  However in late January Scrubmates hosted Winter Wine & Tea.  We were fortunate enough to have the Colt's super bowl trophy to take pictures with.

February

This didn't happen in February but it aired, our TV debut, on Pawn Stars!

March

A work trip to Dallas to see my buddy Reggie happened in early March.  Then, at the end of busy season, I was rewarded with a trip to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 to see Louisville on their run to the National Championship.

 April

By April, Darren's interviews were in full force.  We coupled an interview at Mt Sinai with a long weekend in New York City. 

 May

During Darren's last interview leg in May, we ended up doing a road trip to Durham, Charleston, Asheville, Savannah and Gatlinburg.   Also in May we went to the Indy 500 for the first time.

 June

In June we went out and celebrated Mollie's birthday with a beautiful cake and a tasty dinner.

 July

 In July we had a BBQ for the 4th and the following weekend went to Chicago to celebrate the wedding of Kristin and Tim.

August

In August I went to my first official soccer game and saw Chelsea beat Inter Milan.  Then we jetted off to Vegas and met up with Jason and Michelle for a long weekend and then spent the rest of the week in Los Angeles. 

September

A weekend in September ushered in football season with the Bears playing the Vikings. 

October

In October we celebrated our first anniversary by taking our first trip to London!

November

In November I got to join Bryan and Carolyn for their baby shower in Chicago and then that same weekend we went to a second bears game against the Lions.

December

Christmas.  So grateful we got to celebrate with both of our families again this year.

Jay & Lisa

2011 was the year of the wedding for Darren and I.  The last wedding we attended before moving to Indianapolis was Jay & Lisa's Wedding.  They had a Sangeet the night before and then a beautiful ceremony and reception the following day.

Surprise!

Now that the Asia scrapbook is finally done, I can move back into my normal scrapbooking which I'm now 27 months behind on! The first thing after a trip to Asia was to surprise Elizabeth for her 30th birthday!

TINA

A friend of mine came over one day to scrapbook.  She made these adorable letters to put in her 3-year old daughter's room.  I just wanted to share.

July 4th 2013

July 4th we had some friends over for dinner and to celebrate.  Carmen, Mollie, Ji, Vic, Kunal, Rebecca, Darren, Ashley, me, Jay.  We had a fun time with sparklers and watching the fireworks from our front porch

Until the lack of wind caused the smoke not to blow away.  At the end you couldn't see the fireworks behind the smoke!

While watching fireworks we found this slug next to our porch.  I wish there was something for comparison but this guy was like 6 inches long.  The longest slug I ever have seen!

Mollie's Birthday

In June we went out for Mollie's Birthday.  We got to try a really good new restaurant, Oh Yumm Bistro and enjoy an amazing chocolate raspberry cake that Carmen got for Mollie.  What a fun night!

Social

Before Christmas a couple of our Indian friends convinced us to go out for a night of Bhangra dancing.  It ending up being a mix of pop and Indiana pop and we had a lot of fun!

Ashish & Elite's Wedding Reception

I didn't the reception could be decorated more beautifully than the weddings but I was blown away.  This room was not built for a wedding but I cannot think of anything more perfect to occur in the space.

The flowers were unreal.

The cake was decorated by hand to look like mendi. 

But what really blew us away was the dessert table. Not that I could fit much after dinner and wedding cake but it couldn't have been more beautiful.
